The return of Hellbilly...

Remember a couple weeks back when I posted the pictures from a blog reader by the name of Shawn Rodgers? Well he sent me some more pics, seems he had the Hellbilly at a local show and who do you think shows up? Why none other then Eddie Munster himself Butch Patrick who just loved the Hellbilly, here's some pics...

Custom Mego Monsters

Yer ol' pal Monsterfink's brother from another mother The Nazgul has been busy at work making some awesome custom additions to the fantastic Mego Mad Monster line, here gawk yer eyes on 'em...

Check out the Supernatural Skeleton...

and yes, he does glow in the dark...

Those bones came from a glow in the dark plastic skeleton he found at Target around Halloween, he assembled on the black jumpsuit to give it the authentic look of a Mego Mad Monster.

Here's one of my favorites the Living Scarecrow

with appropriate glow in the dark monster hands...

Making one of these myself...

And in the tradition of the Tomland Famous Monsters of Legend comes, Sasquatch

He even commsioned both a box and a blister card, he sis the art himself in the style of the actual Tomland box art, also see in the spin off coloring book...

Killer art on the packaging, am I right?

and just so he can rub it in my face, he has similar boxes for his other Mego Monsters...

mine just stand there in clear plastic coffins from CVS.....I want boxes....

Frankenstein vs the Wolfman

Came across this on my internet travels, The animation is a little stiff but when you consider this was all done on a normal home computer you forgive the jerkiness of the movements. The design of the Monster is very well done and it's a solid short story,

Universal Monsters Online

hold on....gimme a minute... okay I am awake and not dreaming, this is really happening...

Look at that willya?

Aint that sumthin'?

Yes folks what we have here is a Free to Play MOBA featuring the Universal Monsters, and we all know how special these guys are to me and my late Uncle Freak. Basically you get to pick your monster from the sizable stable of Universal Monsters and beat the snot out of each other. That's right, pit Frankenstein against the Metaluna Mutant and see which freak of science is stronger. Let Dracula mix it up with the Mummy, The Bride take on the Invisible Man, Wolf Man sink his fangs into the Mole People. I'm so damn excited right now I could scream! Seriously this looks to be great with some seriously solid character designs for the main monsters check 'em out after the official press release...

“San Francisco – June 12, 2012—Bigpoint today released new information about its anticipated free-to-play (F2P) browser-based title, Universal Monsters Online. The game, which Bigpoint is developing in collaboration with Universal Partnerships & Licensing, will enable players to experience Universal’s iconic cast of classic monsters in a highly-competitive Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) setting.

Taking on the persona of Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon – among many other notable monsters from Universal’s rich history – players compete with and against each other in a blend of combat and strategic game play.

Like all Bigpoint titles, Universal Monsters Online will be F2P. In-game currency can be used to purchase items such as new characters (after a free-trial period), unique character skins, and special abilities.

Bigpoint plans to begin closed beta testing shortly, and is now encouraging players to sign-up for early access at:http://www.universalmonstersonline.com/

Man I am loving that Bride design, she's got that pretty girl that stomp ya into the dirt look to her! And that Creature is KILLER.

Now get yer butts over to the website and sign up for a chance to beta test, I have, ya can count on that. Oh and while your there go to the character section and drool over the animated models of some of the monsters. I did and now I have a puddle to clean up.

Rat Fink and the Rad Rods

I love Rat Fink... goes with my love of outrageous custom cars, and I love freaky toy cars, but somehow this line from 1990 passed me by. I found my first piece of my now sizable collection at an Auto Swap Meet in Englishtown New Jersey's Raceway Park...a carded Rat Fink for $5.00. I still have him on card. The biggest piece of my collection came in to the local comic book shop as part of a collection my friend the owner picked up, cost me $15.00 for the entire regular set of figures and cars loose. The Hydro Racers however are a little harder to come by and I'm still acquiring those. Here's the commercial for the toyline and quite possibly the only traditionally animated version of Rat Fink voiced by, if my ears are right, the great Jim Cummings, voice of Darkwing Duck.

Hellbilly - One Hell of a Ride!

The other day I got an eamil form Shawn Rodgers, he had read the post about the forthcoming Hot Rod Herman and Dragstrip Grandpa figure and had some questions. We got to emailing back and forth and he sent me some pictures of his SWEEEEEEET ride, the Hellbilly. It's a 1930 Model A with a blown 350 Chevy engine and it's a thing of pure beauty. As some of you may know, I love custom cars...LOVE them, and the creepier the car the better so this baby is right up my alley, and if you're a regular here it's probably right up your's too...

Love the taillights!

Love the flamethrower effect! I think he's got Spot under the hood

I'd love to be seeing this view in person

even the tow trailer has character!
and check out the Garage he keeps it in...

my hat is off to you Shawn, thanks for sharing these photos...

Now I really wanna go rebuild my old Nosfer-Auto
